From Abu the giraffe to Larry the African Grey Parrot to Uluru the red Kangaroo, this is a photo adventure is not to be missed!

 

Learn new techniques from exposure to framing, composition and perfect lighting to capturing these animals "un-caged". Did you know you can shoot "through" a fence? Learn how to anticipate animal behavior and patiently wait for the perfect shot.  Tips and tricks for better Wildlife photography will be discussed.

 

This is a workshop where your long lenses will be a big asset to getting great shots up close!  (200-400mm ideal.)  Tripods are not appropriate but Monopods may be useful although not necessary.

 

Larry Winslett

Larry is a nature photographer, environmentalist, exhibitor, and along with his wife Julie, co-author of the recently published book, Wildflowers of Stone Mountain. His work has been featured in Sierra, Wilderness, and Wild Mountain Times, and is currently exhibiting at Stone Mountain Park at the new Environmental Education Center.

Larry specializes and teaches to both film and digital photographers alike in subjects ranging from wildflower and macro photography to water and nature photography. He leads his own field workshops to both local and national destinations.

When he is not taking pictures of the great outdoors, Larry is busy protecting it for other photographers. He is the founder and CEO of Friends of Georgia, a conservation organization for environmental protection. To learn more about his efforts and his photography, please visit Larry’s WEBSITE.
