Join Sara and an amazing group of female photographers on an unforgettable photographic adventure in one of the most beautiful places in the world, the Luberon Valley in Provence France.

Sara attended the Savannah College of Art and Design, and attending the SCAD Lacoste Campus located in the heart of Provence. She has returned in recent years for photography festivals and is so excited to make a practical and price-conscious photography excursion, and can’t wait to show you the beauty of Southern France.

NOTES:

While it is unlikely we will experience the famous lavender fields at this time of year, there is is still plenty to explore.
Sara’s goal is to be as price-conscious as possible while still making for a beautiful trip with ample photographic opportunities away from tourist season.

This workshop will require much walking, including some uphill and stairs.  However, Sara herself has a hypermobility and blood circulation condition, and is very conscious of physical limitations. If you are concerned in any way, require accommodations of any kind, please do not hesitate to reach out and speak with Sara directly!

Average Weather:

Weather in southern France during the spring is often very mild (this is why Sara prefers visiting during the spring!), with temperatures between 60-80 degrees fahrenheit. T-shirts, jeans, dresses and a light sweater are recommended. We may experience the infamous “Mistral Winds”, so a windbreaker is also recommended. Sara recommends not bringing and umbrella, but purchasing one when you arrive if necessary.

What To Bring

  • DSLR or Mirrorless Camera

  • Laptop or Tablet

  • A lens or two lenses that cover wide angle to telephoto (more equipment recommendations will be made during group zoom calls)

  • Sturdy walking shoes and comfortable clothes for a range of temperatures

  • Valid Passport

What’s Not Required

  • A tripod

  • Speaking French (many speak English and Sara will help translate along the way. Sara also recommends the Google Translate app. If you’re interested in learning French, Sara recommends Babbel and watching your favorite show in French.)

  • Extensive photography knowledge is not required - Beginners welcome!
