Learn how to take better sports photographs with professional World-Series photographer Kevin D. Liles!

In this 2- hour workshop, Kevin will cover these topics such as timing, positioning, knowledge of the game, and game momentum and how all of these are used to create storytelling images of any game. Kevin will draw upon his two decades working as a photographer, editor, assistant, and lighting technician to help students become better at their craft. Whether the goal is to photograph a Super Bowl or to take better photos at your child’s Little League game, this workshop can help by giving students a solid foundation and understanding of sports photography fundamentals. Kevin will discuss his career — from photographing local sports for a small community newspaper to documenting a Super Bowl for The New York Times and becoming the team photographer for the Atlanta Braves.

Kevin will go over tools and techniques that professionals use to get award-winning, storytelling photographs from sporting events. He will discuss photography gear and camera settings, including sharing what he uses and how to get the most out of your gear for sports photography. Kevin will also talk about how to look beyond the action and field for storytelling images.
