About the class

Join us for an introduction to Photoshop Elements 2022, Adobe's powerful consumer photo editor. This program is all many photographer's need to fulfill their vision for their photographs. This powerful tool has many of the same editing abilities as the full Photoshop, only simpler.
We will learn:
Basic editing tools for Basic clean-up, Tone, Contrast, and Color.
How Layers can improve your images
How to size your images for various applications
Using text and symbols to create dynamic photos
New easy to use features
& more
After this class, you’ll be able to accomplish all of your Photoshop editing needs in a single day. If you choose to continue to the advanced Photoshop CC, this will only make you more familiar with the professional software.
Photoshop Elements is designed to help photographers create eye-catching images with a minimum of effort. It cuts to the chase by focusing on overcoming common photo problems and at the same time serves as an excellent gateway to the other Adobe subscription products if you decide to go there later. Tools to control tone, contrast, shadows/highlights, color saturation, Layers, images sizing and sharpening of images are all present and basically the same as the other Adobe software. You can also use Elements to organize your images and even process RAW files – not to mention all the special effects and filters!
So, for those just beginning to explore taking your images to the next level Photoshop Elements may be the perfect next step! Join us for this 4 week fun and informative class!

Photoshop Elements is a one-time purchase, not a subscription (unlike the Adobe Creative Cloud).
Please have Adobe Photoshop Elements downloaded on your computer before the class begins. You can download directly from Adobe's website here. Please be sure to download Photoshop, not Premiere.
We will not be covering Photoshop CC in this class. Please see our Photoshop 1 class if you would like to learn Photoshop CC. Refunds, exchanges, transfers or credit will not be offered on the day of class for the incorrect software.

How do I purchase the software?
Students are welcome to purchase their own copy of the latest edition of Photoshop Elements, or use a previous version.
This is a lap-top only class.
How our classes work
Class will be held at the same day and time of your choice each week for three weeks and lasts 1 hour and 45 minutes. (i.e. a Monday 10 AM class will be held every Monday morning for 4 weeks) If you have any scheduling conflicts, we will try our best to accommodate, just give us a call!
For Our Online Class Option: The class will be held online via Zoom! More info about our online classes can be found here. There is no subscription necessary. Registered students will receive an invite to join the video conference with your instructor. We recommend that students download the Zoom software in advance to become familiar with the layout.
