 Get one-on-one, goal oriented instruction from a dedicated, knowledgeable instructor.

About

We’ll create specific lessons, provide professional advice, and curated practices to help you achieve your photography goal in one month.

Pair up with a professional photographer based on your photography focus.

Once registered, mentees will receive their instructor’s contact information to schedule their 4 lessons. Each lesson is one hour, and students will have access to the instructor’s email to ask questions through the week.

Goals for a mentorship would include, but not limited to:

  • Building a photography portfolio

  • Marketing photography for your business, such as products, food, etc.

  • Submitting your work to a competition or school application

  • Extensive editing in Lightroom and/or Photoshop

  • Preparing for a commercial job

  • Build a website

  • Preparing to travel

  • anything goal you can imagine!

Sara Keith

Sara received her BFA in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a minor in Film and Television. She is an animal lover, food lover, and traveler. Sara’s photography and consultation clients include the Woodruff Arts Center, Delta, Inspire Brands, US Bank, Mailchimp and Ponce City Market.

Alex Cole Acosta

Alex Cole Acosta is a photojournalist and portrait photographer based in Atlanta. He is a graduate of Florida A&M University with a Bachelor's degree in photography. His work has been featured in publications across the country and exhibited in Atlanta and New York City. Alex's clients include: Atlanta Journal Constitution, USA Today, News-Press, Creative Loafing, and Transition Magazine.

Casey has been an Entertainment Photographer in Atlanta for over 10 years with a laser focus on the Theatre community. That includes hundreds of events, over 300 individual theatrical performances, and over 1,000 headshots. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, the AJC, Playbill, Broadway World, ArtsATL, and many more. Some of her clients include, The Alliance Theatre, Theatrical Outfit, Actor’s Express, Aurora Theatre, Georgia Theatre Conference, Synchronicity Theatre, Dad’s Garage, Kennesaw State University, and Emory University.

Julie is an Atlanta-based freelance photographer, specializing in PR, special events, and corporate headshots. With a wealth of experience in her field, she brings a unique blend of creativity and professionalism to every project she undertakes. When she's not behind the lens, Julie is passionate about sharing her decades of knowledge and expertise with aspiring photographers as a dedicated instructor at the Atlanta School of Photography. Through her teaching, she continues to learn and empowers the next generation of photographers to hone their craft and pursue their passions with confidence.

William Twitty

William's career in photography spans from 2010 when he graduated school with a degree in Commercial Photography to present day as a full time photographer. He's captured events with a flare, portraits that speak exactly to the heart of the subject, and restaurant food that you can almost taste through the screen!

His work has been featured in publications such as: Southern Seasons Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Architectural Digest as well as the dining and catering menus for Georgia Tech! You could also find his works published in Atlanta Magazine, and in the book "Tony Conway: Legendary Events".

Don Orkoskey

Don Orkoskey specializes in headshots and corporate photography. He's also a passionate wildlife photographer and leads a free monthly nature photography meetup. He opened WDO Photography in 2007 after working for and learning from a number of Pittsburgh's most talented photographers. He began teaching photography around the same time, hosting classes at Phipps Conservatory, the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden, and at many more great venues in and beyond Pittsburgh. Today, Don is exploring wild spaces in and around Atlanta looking for wildlife to photograph and he leads a free monthly nature photography meetup. 

Larry Winslett

Larry is a nature photographer, environmentalist, exhibitor, and along with his wife Julie, co-author of the recently published book, Wildflowers of Stone Mountain. His work has been featured in Sierra, Wilderness, and Wild Mountain Times, and is currently exhibiting at Stone Mountain Park at the new Environmental Education Center.

Larry specializes and teaches to both film and digital photographers alike in subjects ranging from wildflower and macro photography to water and nature photography. He leads his own field workshops to both local and national destinations.
