Intro to Editing in Lightroom
You’ll learn how to brighten, darken, crop, and sharpen your images, including:
How to set white balance for intentional color
Exposure controls, including highlight, midtone, and shadow recovery
Contrast and the tone curve
How to make your colors more vibrant
How to create black and white
Selective, targeted edits using masking
Retouching to remove dust and blemishes
Cropping for a specific output
Sharpening and noise reduction
Exporting for web/social vs. full-resolution print or client delivery
Building and sharing your first online gallery
Getting pictures into your camera is only the first part. Getting them out and making them look the way you intend is what we use Lightroom for. Lightroom helps you fix anything that needs fixing and polish your shots. In this hands-on session, you'll edit your own photos from start to finish: tone, color, selective adjustments, retouching, and export, using whichever version of Lightroom you already have (Classic, Cloud, or browser). You'll walk away with a repeatable editing workflow and a sharable online gallery, built and delivered straight from your own laptop.
