The Beginner's Guide to Video
with Sawyer Holcomb
Videography 101 is a beginner friendly, foundational discussion of some of the basics of video and film concepts. In this workshop, we will discuss the motivations and the "why" behind choosing video for a project, as well as many of technical aspects of what makes a high quality video. Some of the topics that will be discussed are:
• Why choose video?
• Camera Settings
• Video Accessories
• Lighting
• Audio
• Editing
This workshop is low equipment/low budget friendly, and we will be exploring how to enhance video projects without having to invest in expensive equipment and software.
The workshop will consist of a 2 hour open-discussion lecture with equipment demo, followed by a 1 hour block for practicing concepts in a low-steaks real world scenario.
Any and all experience levels are welcome.
