Boudior Beginnings
From Why to Wow
with Ria Rouse
Are you ready to photograph women in a way that makes them feel something — not just look pretty? In this one-day beginner boudoir workshop, I’ll walk you through the why, the how, and the pose flow that turns your clients into art.
We’ll kick off by discovering your own WHY for boudoir photography (because if it’s just “to make money,” you’ll burn out fast). Then we’ll dive into foundational posing for boudoir — how to guide real women (and yes, real body types) so they feel confident in front of your lens.
You’ll shoot live with models of all body types in a safe, joyful space created to reflect your brand’s luxury + vulnerability + empowerment vibe. We’ll cover your pose-flow (from intro pose through transition to finale), how to coach movement, how to craft emotion, and how to build your own shooting style that stands out.
By the end of the day you’ll walk away with:
A clear understanding of why you shoot boudoir (and how to lean into that in your marketing)
On-set experience directing a diverse model slate with confidence
Tools to create a boudoir experience that feels safe, sensual, bold and inclusive.
This is perfect for photographers who are ready to start offering boudoir or elevate their current offering—limited spots for maximum hands-on attention.

This workshop will be held at gorgeous private home near our Old Fourth Ward location!
Ria is a visual storyteller who centers sensuality, vulnerability, and emotional truth. As a boudoir photographer and artist, her work explores the intimacy of self-worship, the sacredness of desire, and the unapologetic joy of embodiment.
Rooted in her background in psychology and shaped by a lifetime of unlearning shame, Ria uses photography as both mirror and liberation tool—inviting women, couples, and those often left out of traditional beauty narratives to see themselves as art.
Her creative process is less about performance and more about reclamation. Through light, movement, and composition, she doesn’t just capture pleasure—she honors it.
Ria’s work is an invitation to feel more, to be seen deeply, and to take up space in your full, untamed glory.
